NARM - NEUROAFFECTIVE RELATIONAL MODEL

My approach to personal and collective development is deeply informed by relational (attachment) trauma theories and practices. Most people experience adverse childhood experiences (developmental trauma) in more or less severe degrees. In order to cope and thrive in less than ideal environments, as children we develop complex survival strategies. While these strategies serve us well to live a functional life, they also limit our true potential. Identifying and working through these strategies requires a precise relational approach.

In this respect, one of the most integratives tools I use, is the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) a leading-edge model based on attachment and object relations theories, somatic approaches, and interpersonal neurobiology, and inspired by mystical traditions about the nature of identity. NARM integrates top-down and bottom-up approaches, and works relationally in the present moment, identifying unconscious patterns of disconnection that profoundly affect our identity, emotions, physiology, behaviour, and relationships.
